Job description

Information about the Company: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes.
Hiring Machine Envelope Packers for all shifts in our City of Industry, CA plant.
Machine Packer Pay/Schedule:
  • Pay $18/hr + shift premiums
  • 2nd shift premium $0.70/hr (2pm -- 10pm)
  • 3rd shift premium $1.50/hr (10pm - 6am)
  • Schedule: Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season/based on business needs.

Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties:
  • Loads paper onto automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; packs finished product.
  • Inspects the quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
  • Check current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
  • May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment:-
  • Ability to maintain a high-speed output while standing for the duration of a full shift, including frequent pushing, twisting, and bending.
  • Requires strong mental alertness and the ability to reach overhead, step up, and manually feed paper into the machine.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and sufficient manual dexterity to grasp and handle objects repeatedly.
  • Regular exposure to arm and wrist fatigue; the work environment includes noise and contact with non-hazardous materials, such as inks, solvents, and glue.
  • Must be able to work effectively in environments with varying temperatures, including both hot and cold conditions.
