Physician Leader – Workplace Health & Community Partnerships

InterMed is seeking a forward-thinking Physician Leader to join our growing Workplace Health (WPH) and Community Partnerships program. This role blends clinical practice with strategic leadership, guiding a dynamic team of Advanced Practice Clinicians and shaping innovative direct-to-employer and community‑based healthcare services. What You'll Do

  • Provide medical leadership, clinical oversight, and strategic direction for WPH and community health initiatives.
  • Support, mentor, and supervise Advanced Practice Clinicians to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
  • Collaborate closely with InterMed leadership and external employer/community partners.
  • Participate in recruitment, performance reviews, clinical audits, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Represent InterMed with professionalism as a key liaison to clients, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Deliver direct patient care as part of your ongoing clinical responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

  • Board-certified (or Board-eligible) physician with active, unencumbered Maine license.
  • 3+ years' experience as a physician; A background in Occupational Medicine, Population Health, or Employer‑based health services is strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with leadership or management experience.
  • Commitment to innovation, collaboration, and improving healthcare delivery.
  • DEA and BLS required.
