Position Summary


The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of WPCC RecuperativeCare clients. This position plays a critical role in supporting the client care experience andmay also assist in recreational activity coordination. The Driver helps ensure transportationis delivered with dignity and care, in alignment with WPCC's mission of holistic andcompassionate service.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Transport clients and supplies to designated locations, following a set schedule or adhoc requests.

Operate vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws, WPCC policy, and agency

guidelines.

Assist clients with vehicle entry/exit as needed.


Complete and document pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.


Maintain a clean, sanitized vehicle environment, adhering to infection control

protocols.


Secure vehicle parking and properly secure loads during transport.


Track and report vehicle incidents, maintenance needs, damage, shortages, or

overages.


Support client experience by engaging respectfully and reporting progress,

participation, or concerns to the care team.


Coordinate with volunteers and staff to fulfill transportation needs.


Maintain and clean vehicle regularly (e.g., washing, vacuuming).


Load/unload and verify condition and count of materials.


Attend staff meetings and training courses.


Comply with all WPCC policies and government regulations related to

transportation and client care.


Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education


High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience


1-2 years of driving or transportation experience preferred.


Experience working with medically vulnerable or diverse populations is a plus.


Certifications or Licenses



Valid California Driver's License required.


Clean driving record in compliance with agency standards.


CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.

Schedule and Travel Requirements


Full-time schedule with flexibility for rotating shifts or extended hours.

Travel required throughout Southern California, including local WPCC sites and

patient locations.
