Job description

Position Description
The Business Analyst - SAP SuccessFactors provides expertise to enhance Applied Medical's human capital management operations. This role supports internal customers, including the Team Member Relations (HR) group, by maintaining and expanding the functionality of SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM modules, such as Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance and Goals. The Business Analyst also supports integrated time and attendance capabilities through WorkForce Software, ensuring alignment across systems. This role ensures HR and workforce processes are efficient, compliant, and scalable to meet organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze HR business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation across recruiting, onboarding, core HR, time, and payroll.
  • Configure and maintain SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM modules to align with business requirements and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, and IT teams to design solutions, integrations, and workflows that optimize HR operations.
  • Develop prototypes and functional specifications to gain consensus on requirements and validate solutions.
  • Uses a variety of techniques such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, use cases, scenarios and business process flows.
  • Support and maintain existing SAP enterprise systems, focusing on HR modules, while ensuring system stability and data integrity.
  • Partner with TMR, payroll, and operations stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements to support integrations with SAP SuccessFactors through data validation, testing coordination, issue resolution, and ongoing optimization.
  • Create documentation and training materials to facilitate system understanding and adoption across HR teams.
  • Lead in testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet user specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure requirements are testable and traceable.
  • Develop and execute test cases to validate the requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing existing processes and data and stays current with SAP releases and HR technology trends.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions and escalations as needed.

  • Deliver accurate and timely HR transactions and reporting through optimized system configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards across all HR processes.
  • Improve user experience and adoption of HR systems through clear documentation and training.
  • Drive process efficiencies that reduce cycle times and enhance HR service delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement scalable HR technology solutions.

Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes
  • At least five years of experience in information systems or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience using SAP HCM and SuccessFactors components in a dynamic business environment performing business analysis and process design.
  • Skilled in configuration and use of SAP SuccessFactors modules (Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance and Goals) and SAP HCM (Time, Payroll).
  • Clear understanding of HR processes, compliance requirements, and best practices in human capital management.
  • Proven experience in SuccessFactors-SAP HCM integrations, including data migration and reconciliation.
  • Ability to design and execute unit, integration, and regression test cases; troubleshoot configuration and system issues.
  • Competence in managing role-based permissions and authorizations in SuccessFactors Admin Center.
  • Proficiency in generating reports and dashboards using SuccessFactors or SAP Analytics Cloud; delivering actionable HR insights.
  • Ability to embrace consistent change and apply innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal capabilities, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team-based work ethic with a customer-focused, service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage requirements and practice effective scope management.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies.

Preferred
Preferred Skills and Attributes
  • SAP SuccessFactors certification in Employee Central, Recruiting, or related modules.
  • Experience with HR reporting and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with integrations such as WorkForce software with SuccessFactors.
  • Knowledge of release management and testing methodologies for quarterly SuccessFactors updates.
  • Experience with SAP implementation methodologies (Activate, ASAP) or Agile frameworks.
