About The Role

The Path Forward Return to Work program at Zoox is a 16-week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to individuals who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for yourself or a loved one. If you meet these criteria, we welcome you to apply.

At Zoox we are excited to offer a return to work program because we appreciate the skills you can offer, the perspective you provide, and the contributions you will make. This program offers you a chance to revamp your skills, update your resume with new experience, and make connections with others transitioning back to the workforce. It also offers support through Path Forward, a nonprofit organization on a mission to empower people who've been focused on caregiving transition back to the paid workforce.

Zoox is seeking Software Engineers skilled in object-oriented programming to join our multidisciplinary team. The role demands a dynamic individual with a robust background in software engineering, eager to tackle challenges in developing and optimizing systems supporting our autonomous vehicles. Key qualifications include excellent problem-solving abilities, proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, and a demonstrated passion for technological innovation in transportation. This position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of autonomous mobility at Zoox.

Qualifications (will vary based on team)
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant/equivalent experience

  • Solid experience as a full-stack or backend developer, showcasing a deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Solid understanding of web servers and web technologies
  • Experience handling large data sets
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $155,000 to $220,000. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position. Additional benefits may be offered.
