TITLE: SeniorManager,HR

Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods,is hiring a Senior Manager, HR to support theCustom Culinary(CC)subsidiary,which has a total employee population of approximately 175,including two manufacturing sites-in Oswego, IL and Avon, OH-and corporate,sales,finance,culinary,and other professionals at our Lombard, IL office.

In this role, you willco-createand drive HRstrategicinitiatives and partnerwith business leaders toensure leadership manages and develops its talent, understands collective bench strength, facilitates internal mobility, and coordinates succession planning at all levels with mindfulness to diversity and inclusion initiatives.At the same time,you willalso bedirecting the execution of day-to-day HR activities across CustomCulinary,servingas a strong player-coach tothePresident andleadership team, while directing the execution of day-to-day HR activitiesvia your 2 direct reports.


This is your opportunity to serve on the Custom Culinary Leadership Team and serve as a key advisor to the President of Custom Culinary by influencing workforce planning and talent strategy, leadership effectiveness and succession planning, organizational design and change management, as well as culture, engagement, andretention.

AsaSeniorManager,HR,your responsibilities willinclude:

  • Leadingand managing2HRdirect reportsatourtwomanufacturingfacilitiesin Oswego,IL,and Avon, OH,and consults andadvisesthem on routine employee relations and discipline matters, in collaboration withthe in-house Legal Department.

  • Partneringclosely with the President of CCand the CC LeadershipTeam to shape and lead the people strategy for the business.

  • Drivingthe talent agenda by managing the development and performanceregardingstandardization and execution of employee relations, talent management and development, succession planning, performance management,compensation,and recruiting activities at the manufacturing locations.

  • Collaboratingwith direct team, broader North America HRTeam and other internal partners for execution of priorities, such as planning and executing integrated talent activities through talent and strategic workforce planning and developing and consulting on organizational design and change management needs.

  • Usingfinancial, workforce, and talent analytics to diagnose organizational health,identifyrisk, and present clear, data driven recommendations to the CCLeadership Team.

  • Leadingthe CCtalent strategy, including succession planning for senior leadership roles, assessment andselectionof key talent, and development of diverse leadership pipelines.

  • Leadingthe CC engagement strategy, action planning, and recognition programs that drive connection and belonging, including providing counsel and development coaching to leaders and proposes strategies to address gaps and/or opportunities to strengthen leadership effectiveness.

Qualified candidates willhave:

  • Bachelor's degreeinHR, Business, Organization Development,I/O Psychology,or related field

  • At least7years'progressive experience in HRmanagementwithinmanufacturing,food/CPG,distribution,e-commerce,or related industry

  • At least 8 years'experiencetoperformance management, strategic planning and execution, employee relations, compensation planning, benefits support, workers compensation, talent management, and development

  • At least 5 years' direct people managementincludingdemonstratedleadership, coaching and development

  • Willingness to be onsite3days a weekinLombard, Illinois, plus monthly rotational travel to OswegoandAvon facilities

  • Willingness and ability to travelwithin the US, especially to the Avon, OH facility, as needed for business purposes

  • Candidates mustcurrentlypossessunrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role

This role is affiliated to the Lombard IL locations, and candidates for this role need toresidewithin a commutable distance of that location and will berequiredto come into that locationapproximately3 days/week. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings, includingmonthly rotational travel to Oswego,IL,and Avon, OH facilities.Please note that, during onboarding and or to lead performance management,additionalonsite or travel days may be needed.
