Boys & Girls Clubs of America is the nation's premier youth development organization. Our programs, training, and services impact nearly 4 million children and teens around the world every year. We are always looking for qualified professionals with a passion for improving young lives, as a member of our staff.  

Under the supervision of the Director of Youth Workforce Development, the TTC Welding Instructor is a key member of the Workforce Development team and will teach general welding skills based on welding certification curriculums. Provide training and certification on GMAW (Gas Metal Arc & Arc Welding) and FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding). Supervise trainees on the importance of maintaining a safe work area based on specific safety guidelines and procedures. 


Requirements

The instructor will be responsible for developing appropriate classroom activities to improve the club members' knowledge and skillset in the field of welding. The instructor will also be responsible for providing training on the maintenance of the welding equipment which can and should be used as the hands-on component of classroom instruction. In addition, to the hands-on training, the instructor will be required to organize supervised field trips in order to provide opportunities for the trainees to observe various welding techniques.

CWE and CWI certifications

Other duties as assigned. 

Training materials, equipment and tools will be provided by Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis. 

Students are ages 16-24
