Job description

Position Summary

The Program Manager of Internships and Workforce Engagement administers the Hospital internship program as part of a comprehensive effort to prepare students for career placement and success. The Program Manager enhances, facilitates, and promotes meaningful internships and enriching career-related experiences for the Merrimack Valley youth. The Program Manager has a strong knowledge of the community, collaborates with students, hospital leadership, and other stakeholders to sustain a robust and diverse range of internship programs and external partnerships that support the hospitals mission and career development requirements.

This position is funded by Atrius Health Equity Foundation to support the development of youth in the community.  The Program Manager will focus on Program Management, Mentorship Support, Partnership and Relationship Management and Strategic Planning. Some after-hours work required. 

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail
  • 2 years of project or program management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with students
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite applications
  • Knowledge of the health care/hospital industry
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Bi-lingual/ bi-cultural candidates preferred
  • Knowledge of or connection to the local community
