Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RESEA Employment Services Specialist to join our team. The Employment Services Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive employment services to individuals seeking employment, including job search assistance, skills assessment, resume writing, interview preparation, and job placement support. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping others, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of employment trends and regulations.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' skills, interests, and employment goals.
  • Assist clients with resume writing, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities for clients.
  • Match clients with suitable job openings and facilitate the application process.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to help clients succeed in their jobs.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and rights in the workplace.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, job placements, and progress.
  • Promote services to potential clients and community organizations through outreach efforts.
  • Stay informed about labor market trends, employment laws, and resources for job seekers.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, psychologists, and educators, to provide comprehensive support to clients.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in workforce development, recruitment, employment services, or related field,
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and resources for job seekers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients facing barriers to employment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Certification in workforce development or related field (preferred).
