Talent Consultant - Engineering & Technical Recruiting (Embedded RPO / Talent Acquisition Consultant)
Position Overview
Ignite Human Capital is seeking an experienced Talent Consultant to support a leading engineering consulting organization through an embedded Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) engagement. This consultant will serve as a strategic talent acquisition partner responsible for attracting, engaging, and delivering engineering, sustainability, technical, and corporate talent across multiple offices and business units.
The ideal consultant brings experience recruiting within consulting engineering, architecture, construction, MEP engineering, building systems, sustainability, infrastructure, environmental consulting, or professional services environments. This role requires a highly consultative recruiting professional capable of partnering directly with engineering leaders, project managers, and executive stakeholders to develop talent strategies and execute full-cycle recruiting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts from intake through offer acceptance.
  • Partner with engineering leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce planning needs and project-based hiring demands.
  • Develop strategic sourcing plans for difficult-to-fill engineering and technical positions.
  • Build talent pipelines within Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Sustainability, Energy, and Building Systems disciplines.
  • Conduct candidate assessments evaluating technical expertise, project experience, certifications, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit.
  • Perform market mapping and competitive intelligence analysis across engineering consulting firms.
  • Identify passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, industry associations, referrals, and targeted outreach.
  • Coordinate interviews and manage communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Advise stakeholders regarding compensation trends, labor market conditions, and candidate availability.
  • Maintain ATS and recruiting data while providing recruiting analytics and reporting.
  • Support diversity hiring, university recruiting, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Promote employer branding efforts to attract top engineering and sustainability professionals.
