Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead and support all aspects of human resources within our manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing HR policies, programs, and initiatives that align with organizational goals while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

The Human Resources Manager will oversee employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, payroll, recruitment, training and development, performance management, and workforce planning. This position serves as a trusted advisor to plant leadership and employees, helping to foster a positive, productive, and compliant workplace culture.

Reporting directly to the HR Director, the HR Manager will also maintain a strong collaborative relationship with Plant Leadership to support business objectives and workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all day-to-day human resources functions for the facility.
  • Ensure employee relations principles and practices are consistently communicated, understood, and applied throughout the organization.
  • Interpret, administer, and maintain HR policies and procedures while aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation administration, performance management, employee development, and retention initiatives.
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate employee and leadership training programs.
  • Manage payroll processes and HR Information Systems (HRIS) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Monitor changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on employee relations, performance issues, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
  • Support organizational initiatives including continuous improvement efforts, workforce planning, affirmative action programs, integrations, acquisitions, and restructuring activities.
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics and provide recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Lead and participate in employee engagement activities, committees, and improvement teams.
  • Partner closely with plant leadership to address workforce challenges and support operational goals.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience delivering presentations and facilitating training for large groups.
Preferred
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
  • Experience supporting organizational change, acquisitions, or workforce restructuring initiatives.
