Job Description Join Our Team. Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is seeking applicants for the position of Workforce Program Coordinator. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to support the success of Iowa's workforce system by providing training, ensuring program compliance, and strengthening service delivery across the Iowa Plains Local Workforce Development Area.

Domicile will be determined based on the hired candidate's location in Sioux City or Council Bluffs IowaWORKS office. Position Details Schedule: Full-time | Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Work Flexibility: Hybrid telework and alternate schedules available after six months of employment and training has been completed.

Some travel is required. Position Overview Conduct training for Title I Career Planners, ensure compliance with WIOA Title I federal, state, and local policies, performs file reviews, oversees program integrity and documentation, approves training and supportive service payments, serves as an IowaWORKS subject matter expert, analyzes program data, and provides guidance to improve service delivery through training, technical assistance, and collaboration. Job Description Conduct initial and ongoing training to all Title I career planners in Iowa Plains.

Conduct ongoing file review and oversight activities as prescribed or as needed in order to ensure compliance with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I program requirements from the U.S. DOL, State of Iowa policies, local policies and standard operating procedures regarding program delivery effectiveness, program integrity, and documentation of services. Ensure all participants' training and supportive services are allowable under Title I regulations, state and local policies

Approve and track payments for all training activities and supportive services. Become a subject matter expert of our IowaWORKS case management system. Train all Title I career planners on effectively and efficiently documenting service to participants; developing the Individual Employment Plan, documenting case notes and providing and documenting follow up services to participants.

Run reports in our IowaWORKS system and analyzes data from system reports and provides guidance for process improvement. Attend IWD trainings, Iowa Plains meetings, and WIOA related conferences as requested. Other duties as assigned to support the delivery of program services and the overall success of Iowa Plains Local Workforce Development Area.

Essential Functions Read, understand, and apply federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Analyze workforce program data and identify areas for improvement. Communicate and interact effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, social, economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds.

Foster partnerships with state, local, and community stakeholders. Work effectively as a member of a functional team. Utilize computer systems to acquire, organize, analyze, communicate, and present information.

Perform effectively under normal, emergency, critical, unusual, or sustained heavy workloads. Manage multiple tasks while maintaining efficiency and composure. Answer phones and use virtual platforms to provide clear and concise assistance to team members and customers in person or virtually.

Minimum Qualification Requirements Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification: 1) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to three years of full-time work in employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or occupational, budget, or labor market analysis. 2) Seven years of full-time work experience in employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or occupational, budget, or labor market analysis. 3) All of the following (a, b, and c): a.

One year of full-time work experience in employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or occupational, budget, or labor market analysis; and b. A total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience; and c. A total of two years of graduate-level education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where twenty-four semester hours of accredited graduate college or university coursework in business, public administration economics, planning, or a closely-related field equals one year of full-time experience.

4) Current, continuous experience in Iowa Workforce Development that includes two years of full-time work in employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or occupational, budget, or labor market analysis.
