Job description

Position: Oracle Finance Cloud Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) 

Duration: Long term contract

Job Description:

Client is seeking an experienced Oracle Finance Cloud Techno-Functional Consultant to support implementation, customization, and ongoing enhancements of Oracle Financials Cloud. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and integration partners to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performing financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Oracle Financials Cloud modules including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets (FA)
  • Cash Management (CM)
  • Expense Management
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs.
  • Configure Oracle Finance Cloud modules to meet business needs.
  • Support end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycles.
  • Perform functional testing (SIT/UAT) and support user acceptance.
  • Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution.
  • Prepare functional documentation, training materials, and user guides.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support Oracle Cloud integrations using:
  • REST/SOAP web services
  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  • FBDI / ADFdi
  • Create and maintain BI Publisher reports, OTBI reports, and dashboards.
  • Support data migrations, conversions, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on extensions using Groovy, SQL, PL/SQL where applicable.
  • Troubleshoot performance, security, and data issues.
  • Manage quarterly Oracle Cloud updates and regression testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Oracle Financials experience with 5+ years in Oracle Finance Cloud
  • Strong techno-functional expertise across Oracle Finance modules
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  • Strong understanding of US accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with BI Publisher, OTBI, FBDI
  • Ability to work directly with US-based business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Cloud Financials Certification(s)
  • Experience in healthcare, staffing, or SaaS industry (nice to have)
  • Prior experience working with US enterprise clients
  • Agile / Scrum exposure
