Data Integration Technical Analyst

Chatham University welcomes applications for the position of Data Integration Technical Analyst in our Information Technology department.

The Data Integration Technical Analyst plays a key role in supporting Chatham's Workday implementation and transformation of administrative processes by developing, maintaining, and optimizing integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems.

The analyst works with functional and technical teams to gather requirements, create data mappings, support API and ETL-based integrations, validate data, and troubleshoot integration issues. This position ensures that critical data flows reliably and securely across Human Resources, Finance, Student Information, and related systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Validation & Integrity

  • Design and implement data validation rules, quality checks, and reconciliation processes across Workday and connected enterprise systems.

  • Consult with departmental data owners to ensure accurate and consistent data use across the university.

  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop predictive analytics dashboards for institutional insights.

Integration Development & Support

  • Build and maintain integrations between SIS, CRM, LMS, and auxiliary systems.

  • Develop and monitor ETL processes and automate data workflows.

  • Manage end-to-end integration lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system optimization.

  • Support Workday biannual releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and updates to integrations.

  • Maintain and enhance integration documentation, data mappings, and technical specifications.

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex Workday issues and integration-related incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. A bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience in IT, systems integration, ERP systems, or related IT roles.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages - SQL, PowerShell, Python, etc.

  • Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP), XML, XSLT, or similar data formats.

  • Experience with middleware platforms.

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Workday integration tools (Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB).

  • Experience in higher education or similar complex organizational environments.

  • Experience with HR, Finance, or Student Information Systems.

Salary Range:

$83,900 - 95,000 annually. 40-hour work week.
