Job description

Position: Lead Workday Financial Consultant

Location: Mclean, VA

Duration: Long term contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design solutions within Workday Financials, particularly focusing on AP, AR, and other financial modules.
  • Lead the implementation and configuration of financial solutions, ensuring alignment with client business processes and objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess system needs, and develop Workday Financial solutions.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on Workday Financial best practices and drive continuous improvements.
  • Develop functional specifications and detailed design documents to support the financial modules.
  • Lead testing efforts, including creating test scripts, performing unit testing, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Offer post-implementation support and optimize system configurations for maximum performance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between Workday and other business systems.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial systems with at least 5+ years specializing in Workday Financials.
  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) and other financial modules within Workday.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience leading Workday Financial implementations, including configuration and testing.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Workday certification in Financials
