Job Description:
LearningObjectives:
Student will perform a support role assisting lab technicians and managers in the biology labs
Duties will include:
  • Assistance with laboratory preparations, setting up the laboratory rooms for faculty teaching lab classes.
  • Setting up student laboratory exercises (a.k.a. lab preps) upon labeled carts which can be pushed into the laboratory or within benchtop areas within the student laboratory classrooms.
  • Cleanup/sanitation of laboratory rooms after labs are performed
  • Washing of laboratory glassware and other lab supplies as needed as part of lab clean up
  • Checking for sufficient quantities of lab materials (distilled water, lab exam gloves, paper towels and soap) in laboratory classrooms and Bio-prep lab areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
