What You'll Do
  • Lead the electrical hardware design of infotainment audio components, including speakers and audio amplifiers, from concept through development, validation, and production launch for electric vehicle platforms.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Finance teams to develop technical specifications supporting sourcing and quoting activities.
  • Work closely with Tier 1 suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams to design, develop, and release infotainment audio components.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team environment that supports continuous learning and professional development.
  • Perform both virtual and physical validation testing, including field testing, to ensure product performance and reliability.
  • Participate in engineering activities such as DFMEA, ISO 26262 compliance, Worst Case Circuit Analysis, and other design validation processes.
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay attuned to user experience trends and proactively recommend system improvements.
  • Support the development and design of manufacturing and production processes related to infotainment systems.
  • Manage supplier performance to ensure delivery of components that meet cost, timing, and quality targets.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in infotainment audio systems within an automotive or similar environment, covering full product development lifecycle (design, validation, and launch).
  • Strong knowledge of infotainment architectures, including software stacks and System-on-Chip (SoC) integration related to control head design.
  • Deep technical expertise in infotainment systems, with a structured, data-driven (e.g., Six Sigma) approach to design and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools or direct experience in CAE environments.
  • Understanding of system interactions between infotainment and other vehicle domains (e.g., chassis, propulsion, diagnostics, communications, and audio systems).
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Hands-on experience with infotainment system validation and verification processes and tools.
  • Experience with global automotive OEMs or suppliers is a plus.
