Job description

Ready to see what it takes to make a radio and media company come to life? Connoisseur Media is looking for an energetic, curious, and motivated intern to get hands-on experience across radio, programming, news, digital media, promotions, and sales in our Saginaw, Michigan market. You’ll work alongside experienced media professionals, learn how we connect with listeners and local businesses, and gain real-world skills in both the creative and business sides of the industry. This is a paid internship, Monday–Friday, approximately 4–6 hours per day.

What You’ll Learn
  • Operate an on-air console and assist with live and recorded programming.
  • Produce and edit audio, news, and other on-air content.
  • Create and post content for station websites and social media.
  • Learn how radio, digital media, promotions, and events engage audiences.
  • Get an inside look at media sales, including prospecting, client relationships, presentations, advertising campaigns, and marketing solutions.
  • Learn how Account Executives help local businesses use radio and digital media to reach their customers.
  • Experience the behind-the-scenes operations that keep a station on the air.
  • Develop professional communication, public speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
What You’ll Do
  • Assist with news, programming, digital, and social media content.
  • Engage with listeners and represent the stations at community events and promotions.
  • Support sales and marketing projects, client research, presentations, and campaigns.
  • Shadow team members across programming, sales, and other station departments.
  • Learn station procedures, technology, and day-to-day operations.
  • Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
