The
Clinical Applications Analyst I supports the design, configuration, testing, and ongoing optimization of clinical applications across the Outpatient Imaging value stream. This Tier 1 role partners with clinical, operational, and technical teams to gather business and functional requirements, translate them into system workflows, and support solution delivery with the existing solutions stack.
The analyst develops a strong understanding of IHS operations and workflows to assist in troubleshooting issues, coordinating testing activities, and supporting deployments to the production environment, ensuring solutions meet business needs and maintain system integrity.
What You'll Do- Apply Lean principles to support continuous improvement of clinical applications, workflows, and end-user experience.
- Support the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of clinical application solutions under the guidance of IT Clinical leadership and Solution SMEs.
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements; translate them into system workflows and configuration updates.
- Support deployment activities, including change documentation, release coordination, and post-production validation.
- Partner with RIS/PACS Administrators, Solutions Analysts, and Engineers, and external vendors to support system functionality, integrations, and operational efficiency.
- Provide end-user technical support. Serve as a liaison between end users, IT teams, and vendors to triage issues, manage escalations, ensure timely resolution, and document tickets.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including workflows, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Produce reports and basic analytics to support operational monitoring and management decision-making.
- Required to provide on-call support for IT operations.
What We're Looking For- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Informatics, or a related field; or a high school diploma/GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting healthcare IT systems or clinical workflows; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred Experience: Exposure to clinical applications such as RIS, PACS, EHR, or other healthcare systems.
- Experience working in a healthcare, radiology, or clinical operations environment.
- Knowledge of Internet software, Microsoft Office Products, IT Clinical Applications - RIS, PACS, EMR, Patient/Provider portals, HL7, and DICOM.
