Position Overview
IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate to keyboard a variety of reports, forms, correspondence, and other documents. In addition, this position will also serve as a receptionist, a monthly report coordinator, clerical support and maintain hostage photographs and fingerprint cards for all employees. If you are detail oriented and can multi-task, this position is for you. We strongly encourage all qualified individuals to apply.
Essential Functions
  • Keyboards a variety of reports, forms, correspondence, and various other documents.
  • Serves as a receptionist.
  • Serves as monthly report coordinator.
  • Serves as clerical support and assists Administrative Office Staff.
  • Maintains hostage photographs and fingerprint cards for all employees.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately 45 words per minute.

Conditions of Employment
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
  • Required to use digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
