Related Management is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Office Manager to support operations at Lathrop, a landmark mixed-income community located along the Chicago River. Blending historic architecture with modern living, Lathrop is a thoughtfully redeveloped neighborhood that offers affordable, workforce, and market-rate housing while fostering long-term community growth and resident success.

As the Office Manager, you will serve as the operational backbone of the management office, overseeing administrative functions, supporting financial processes, assisting residents and applicants, and helping ensure an exceptional living experience for our residents. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about serving diverse communities.

Key Responsibility:

  • Answer phones / take messages and retrieve messages from voicemail
  • Return calls to prospective applicants with site and income guideline info / mail applications / reviewing incoming applications for completion etc.
  • Meet and Greet tenants and new applicants that visit office and assist with concerns and questions
  • Take work order request / generate and close out work orders in onesite
  • Make application packets 
  • File all signed leases and documents into tenant files
  • Transfer new tenant documents into permanent folder
  • Assist Assistant Community Manager with preparation of lease renewal packets / letters etc.
  • Scheduling and entering lease singing / interviews and meetings on Microsoft calendar
  • Timely, accurate processing of Accounts Receivable operations.
  • Timely, accurate processing of Accounts Payable operations.
  • General office administration.
  • Specific site administration.
  • Coach and mentor the office stage.
  • Provides managerial and administrative functions.
  • Resident relations.
  • Provides administrative support to other sites when necessary.
  • Miscellaneous special projects as assigned.

Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 + Discretionary Bonus
