Job description

Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Work with the preconstruction team to execute an accurate, quality contract.
    • Attend all required project meetings with the contractor.
    • Set aside the first four hours of each Friday morning for planning. Update all schedules, projections, and COQ logs.
    • Create and maintain a realistic project projection for all anticipated costs. Update any changes to the projections as they occur.
    • Review and coordinate all shop drawings. Ensure compliance with the estimate, other subcontractors, our precast group, and all other affected trades. Ensure the drawing review meeting is held to get field and shop input.
    • Perform detailed material estimates prior to placing the order.
    • Coordinate and communicate all project needs and schedules with all other departments (shop, field, purchasing, drafting, takeoff).
    • Using the portal, initiate all transmittals, submittals, RFIs, and change order quotes. Submit our "info approval log" to the customer every Friday.
    • Request, review, and coordinate structural calculations for each project.
    • Update monthly billings for each project.
    • Execute a timely Walters and Wolf subcontract for all subcontractors. Include all pertinent specifications, documents, and a schedule for the subcontractors' work. Review and approve all subcontractor billings.
    • Attend and assist in the labor monitor meeting to help create realistic goals for our shop and field.
    • Be instrumental in creating and monitoring all "To-Go" list procedures and schedules.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Glass Construction required.
  • Ability to read and understand all the project estimates, bid proposals, qualifications, inclusions, exclusions, and alternates.
  • Ability to read and understand all the project specifications, project manuals, specifications, and drawings.
