Responsibilities
  • **Supertech toolkit and vehicle applies. This is a field position.**
  • Support troubleshooting of backhaul, transmission methodology
  • Support RMA process tracking and documentation for MMBS equipment
  • Report to Regional Project Manager with daily status of activities
  • Scheduling and assignment of daily tasks and site work to Field Technicians
  • Work directly with customer and partners to finalize designs, ensure proper implementation of overall network architecture, and meet deployment objectives within operational constraints.
  • Interface with Product Design, Program Management, RF, Transport, and TAC Engineers to create a protocol for equipment installation and commissioning at RAN network locations.
  • Customer Liaison for Network Operations, including Samsung integration into customer processes and design procedures as well as handoff between organizations.
  • Represent Market or Region in periodic status meetings relative to overall project, including daily, weekly, and monthly progress by site, market or region.
  • Regular communication to management of short and long-term plans as well as obstacles to achieving project milestones.
  • Support subcontractors in the growth of the knowledge base for project fulfillment through field training efforts with the objective of expanding engineering expertise.
  • Review internal documentation for accuracy and provide updates/corrections as appropriate.
  • Execute RMA process, including field troubleshooting, replacement, and administrative completion. The process may require interfacing with customer, subcontractors and multiple groups within Samsung organization.
  • Identify and report systematic design issues with all customer-deployed equipment for improvement or problem resolution through established channels.
  • Provide direction to field engineers (internal and external) to meet overall project objectives.
  • Goal is to ensure all field engineers are on track to meet project milestones and to redirect as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 6 to 10 Years of Field or Network Engineering Experience, in Wireless Network Design, & Implementation, including CDMA, EVDO, OFDM, IP, Router/Switching, Core Network Element Installation & Commissioning, Base Station Installation, & Commissioning, RF Design, Optimization.
  • 3G and 4G Network Design, and Implementation desired.
  • Knowledge of CDMA/EVDO and LTE/Volte technologies
  • Must have a strong work ethic and integrity and work extremely well leading a diverse team
  • Aptitude for creativity and innovation
  • Expert working knowledge of Base Station Vendor equipment (Samsung, Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson)
  • Proficient in MS Office package
