Job description

The Store Manager is our sales, service and operations leader for our retail location and is responsible for everything that happens within those four walls. Our leaders are accountable for hitting sales goals, maintaining our merchandizing standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and developing the team. This position combines strategic thinking with hand-on execution with our role in the local community to support them, as well as the growth of our business. Store Managers serve as the bridge between corporate leadership and our frontline employees by translating our initiatives into actional plans for your team and your community while communicating real-world challenges and opportunities back through the Territory Manager and Director of Sales.

Sales & Performance Management

  • Own the overall store performance and results for sales objectives and forecast by meeting or exceeding key performance indicators.
  • Strategy Implementation: Turn corporate sales and marketing strategies into successful, customer-centric execution within the assigned area based on local interests within the communities the store serves.
  • Coaching & Accountability: Conduct regular sales performance reviews, on-the-spot coaching as well with role plays and hold the team accountable for results and compliance.

Team Leadership, Training, Recruiting

  • Oversee and manage a team of Retail Sales Associates within the store location.
  • Recruiting & Staffing: Collaborate with the Recruiting Team in hiring, interviewing, and ensuring the location is adequately staffed with high-quality talent.
  • Training & Mentorship: Support Retail Sales Associates with their skill development, ensuring all assigned training and compliance courses are completed.
  • Culture & Recognition: Foster an inclusive, high-energy, and performance-driven culture by celebrating team successes and leading by example. Celebrate team wins and new levels of performance on areas of emphasis based on current initiatives within the organization.
  • Manage relationships between the store with internal stakeholders and external partners to align strategy with overall business objectives within the store.

Store Operations & Compliance

  • Operational Excellence: Monitor and enforce all company policies, procedures, and best practices related to inventory, cash management, loss prevention, and store appearance.
  • Issue Resolution: Quickly pinpoint and address operational performance gaps, escalating serious issues to the appropriate departments with urgency.
  • Administration: Oversee and review store schedules, ensure timely email communication for "urgent items," and manage facility/maintenance requests.
  • Corrective Action: Administer necessary disciplinary actions, including written warnings and terminations, when required with the Territory Manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Associates degree in related field preferred. Must be at least 21.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass all pre-employment processes, including background check, MVR check, and drug test.
  • 1-2 years' experience in wireless sales, or sales management is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of and use of a PC and MS Office applications
  • Ability to travel as required
