Job description

Client Engaged Life Wholesaler (BD/Wirehouse/RIA)
Reports to: COO, Advisor Insurance Solutions
Status: Exempt
Work Environment: Remote or Hybrid

Job Description:
We are seeking a high-performing Revenue Generating Wholesaler to drive new business development and client acquisition across Broker-Dealer, Wirehouse, and RIA channels.
This is a front-line, revenue-generating role designed for a proven producer who thrives in client-facing environments and is motivated by growth, access, and earning potential. The role combines direct client engagement, life insurance expertise, and end-to-end deal ownership, enabling the right individual to materially scale their production within a broader, more powerful distribution platform.
You will partner with financial advisors and engage directly with their clients to identify opportunities, structure sophisticated solutions, and close business at the point of sale. This is not a support function, this is a true revenue generating seat with meaningful influence over outcomes.
The ideal candidate is an established performer in life insurance and long-term care (disability and annuities where approved), with a track record of success, who is seeking expanded market access, stronger advisor connectivity, and the ability to accelerate growth beyond the limitations of their current platform.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive production by sourcing, developing, and converting new business opportunities across BD, Wirehouse, and RIA relationships while expanding existing advisor wallet share and maintaining a strong self-generated pipeline
  • Lead client engagement by presenting tailored solutions, guiding complex financial decisions, and influencing outcomes to close business while serving as a trusted resource in high-net-worth and advanced planning conversations
  • Own the full deal lifecycle by leading cases from discovery through placement, maintaining momentum across all stages, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
  • Deliver life and long-term care planning solutions (disability and annuities where approved) by designing and positioning strategies (risk management, estate and legacy planning, wealth transfer, ILITs, and business succession), translating complex concepts into clear recommendations
  • Operate effectively within BD and RIA ecosystems by navigating compliance, suitability, and platform requirements, ensuring regulatory alignment, proactively building and managing pipeline, and collaborating with internal teams, underwriting, and carrier partners to drive efficient case progression and successful placement
Competencies:
  • A proven insurance adviser with a consistent track record of driving and closing new business
  • Experienced in life insurance and long-term care, with strong product knowledge
  • Fluent in life insurance strategies, with the ability to lead sophisticated client conversations
  • Comfortable and confident engaging directly with end-clients, not just advisors
  • Someone who has likely outgrown their current environment, limited by access, distribution, or scale, not capability
  • Highly motivated by performance-based compensation with upside opportunity
  • Adept at balancing sales execution with technical expertise
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, insurance wholesaling, or advisor-facing sales roles
  • Demonstrated success in a production-driven client-facing sales role
  • Strong background in life insurance and advanced markets
  • Experience working within BD, Wirehouse, or RIA channels preferred
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 and Life/Variable insurance licenses required
Why this role:
  • True production role with direct impact on revenue and outcomes
  • Access to broader distribution and advisor networks to unlock growth
  • Ability to engage in larger, more sophisticated cases
  • High earning potential with uncapped upside aligned to performance
  • A platform designed to amplify proven professionals, not constrain them
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary + uncapped production-based incentives
  • Additional incentives for point-of-sale cases
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Licensing support, advanced sales training, and career growth opportunities
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth
