Job Description:
Dell Global Professional Services is looking for a Process Engineer/Software Developer to join a team responsible for digital-based service delivery. Our organization provides factory-installed services and solutions for Enterprise and Client platforms to customers. We want you if you have a proven track record of success and want to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment with great people!

This role will be for a developer who is responsible for supporting the engineering development, integration, deployment, and support of custom Dell OS imaging and BIOS deployment services and the processes and tools that make those services possible.ย  The work is challenging and incorporates a mix of new feature delivery to Dell customers and building leading industry software from Dell and partners like Microsoft.ย 

Expectations:

  • Participate in the software development lifecycle, which includes research, new development, modification, security, correction of errors, reuse, test development, re-engineering and maintenance of scripts or software
  • Troubleshoot issues in a complex environment to develop sustaining fixes
  • Work in a global cross-functional team environment and communicate well
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Show attention to detail

Technical skills:

  • Strong experience with Client Operating Systems (OS), OS imaging, OS deployment, and OS customization (Win10, Win 11, WinPE and Linux)
  • Experience with imaging and deployment tools including SCCM, MDT and the Microsoft ADK tools a plus.
  • Strong experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, JSON, Perl, Shell, & YAML)
  • Strong familiarity scripting in Python preferred and some experience in python is required
  • Solid working knowledge of computer hardware, BIOS and driver layers
  • Client and Enterprise-level, cross-functional troubleshooting
  • Experience in a technology manufacturing environment
  • Previous Dell manufacturing environment experience a plus

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree and/or 8-10 years equivalent experience
  • Technical certifications a plus (A+, Security+, OS Certifications, PCAP, Cloud, etc.)
