Job description

Job Title: Windchill Admin / Configuration Control Engineer

Job Location: (REMOTE)

Stellant Systems Inc. (Stellant) currently has an opportunity for an Onsite Windchill System Administrator for PTC Windchill at our Williamsport, PA location. In this position you will manage Windchill system operations, migrate data from/to Windchill, support the Windchill/ERP system interface, and manage the license server.


1. System Administrator

Skills: Windchill system management, networking, server management, database knowledge, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

o Deep understanding of PLM concepts, technical architecture, and integration techniques, along with experience in data modeling and system design.

o Manages Windchill system operations, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.

o Monitors performance, security, and access controls.

o Troubleshoots technical issues and ensures system stability.

o Familiar with typical Windchill technical architectures

o Familiar with Windchill APIs and customizations

o Defines, manages and communicates different projects as they are encountered (migration, new version deployment, etc)

o Support

Skills: Windchill troubleshooting, customer support, problem-solving, and system diagnostics.

o Provides technical support to Windchill users when needed

o Troubleshoots issues related to system performance, data integrity, and usage.

QA environment support

Skills: Test plan development, system testing, issue tracking, and quality assurance principles.

o Develops test plans and scripts to validate the functionality of the Windchill system.

o Ensures the system meets the required specifications and performs as expected.

o Conducts regression testing, performance testing, and reports bugs.

2. Data Migration Specialist

Skills: Data analysis, data mapping, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), SQL, and experience with legacy systems.

Responsibilities:

o Plans and executes the migration of legacy data (CAD files, BOMs, documents, etc) to Windchill

o Develop migration scripts and tools.

o CAD data types would include SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor

o Ensures data integrity, mapping, and validation during migration.

o Analyze and clean up existing data models

3. Windchill/ERP integration

Skills: Windchill troubleshooting, data Analysis, data mapping, problem solving. Infor LN experience desirable.

Responsibilities:

o Configure Windchill integration and ERP systems

o Infor LN

o Upgrade and maintain integration

o Analyze and clean up existing data models

4. License Server Management and Administration

Skills: Understanding of license server and application licensing concepts

Responsibilities:

o Maintains license server and various tool license applications

o Configure new license applications


A degree in Information Technology or related field, or Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
