Job Description
San Bernardino Community College District accepts applications for an hourly professional expert position for our San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College on a continuous basis. However, this does not imply the department is actively recruiting for this position. The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the assigned duties.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting faculty and students in the Music Department at San Bernardino Valley College and or Crafton Hills College
Representative Duties:
1. Provide in person coaching and other supplementary resources (such as recordings) for instructional use by choral, instrumental, dance, and musical theatre ensembles.
2. Provide coaching for applied music students that will include identification of student mistakes and problem areas, the correction of style and technical errors, as well as providing correct notes and rhythms. Correct diction and foreign language pronunciation will also be emphasized.
3. Assist department and faculty in compilation of music attendance data including tracking hours and student success.
4. Serve as the Music Department Accompanist
5. Provide support as needed, during Theatre Department Musical Productions.
6. Other duties as assigned.
