POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs medical office functions as it relates to the Imaging Department.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Answers phone.
โ€ข Registers and schedules patients in the EMR system.
โ€ข Establishes amount due and informs the patient.
โ€ข Checks on lab orders for contrast studies.
โ€ข Enters exams in PACS.
โ€ข Instructs patient on preps for their procedure.
โ€ข Checks in patients for appointment, verifies and updates patient information.
โ€ข Collects co-pays, co-insurance deductibles, self-pay charges and open balances.
โ€ข Sorts and distributes mail.
โ€ข Sends, receives and distributes faxes.
โ€ข Calls patients to remind them of next day appointments.
โ€ข Orders office supplies as needed.
โ€ข Initiates release forms for Imaging.
โ€ข Reconciles charges and payments at close of day.
โ€ข Consistently displays a positive attitude and a personal commitment to excellence.
โ€ข Attends all department meetings and clinic required meetings.
โ€ข Maintains strict confidentiality.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position in an outpatient medical business office setting. Days and hours of work are between 7am to 6pm. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, as approved in advance.
Travel: This position does not require any travel.
Work Environment: This position requires regular and reliable on-site attendance.
