Job description

Summary Whatcom County Health and Community Services (WCHCS) and the Whatcom County Executive's Office seek a joint, part-time Special Projects Manager to fill a temporary coordination role on strategic, time-limited projects. This position will be focused on the following assignments: Coordination of a time limited blighted properties workgroup to make recommendations to the County Council at the intersection of code enforcement, environmental health, and human services. Preliminary outcome reports for WCHCS Response System Division.

Technical assistance and coordination for Healthy Children's Fund contracts. Human Services emergency response and homelessness coordination. Other areas of assignment may be delegated as needed.

Length of Position: The position is expected to work 15-20 hours per week and conclude by the end of 2026. 75% of the position will be funded through the County's Special Revenue funds. Qualifications Requires a Bachelor' s Degree in public health, human services, business management, public administration or a related field, AND five years of project management experience in human services, public policy, or a related field.
