Position

The Prep and Paint Finisher is responsible for surface preparation and application of various coatings and treatments including powder paint, industrial (wet) paint, stainless steel acid washing, and de-bluing. This role ensures all finished parts meet quality, appearance, and durability standards.
Responsibilities
  • Prep and paint parts using powder or wet paint systems based on job requirements
  • Perform acid wash and de-bluing on stainless steel components
  • Mask, clean, and prep surfaces before coating or treatment
  • Inspect parts for defects, coating quality, and finish consistency
  • Mix paints and chemicals accurately and safely
  • Operate and maintain paint booths, ovens, and related equipment
  • Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental procedures
  • Keep accurate records of jobs completed, paint usage, and materials
Qualifications
  • Experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or chemical metal prep preferred
  • Knowledge of coating types, surface prep, and finishing techniques
