Job description

Prominent insurance defense law firm is seeking experienced civil litigation attorneys for both its Irvine and San Diego offices. You will receive excellent mentorship where one will grow and develop into a successful trial attorney!

Qualifications:

  • Must be an active member in good standing with the CA Bar
  • Prior insurance defense experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience drafting discovery, pleadings, and a variety of motions
  • Excellent knowledge of online legal research i.e., Westlaw
  • Ability and desire to produce excellent work product that reflects strong research, writing and analytical skills
  • Must be driven, a self-starter and able to independently manage a caseload
  • Must be able to work well under strict deadlines
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills are a must

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of civil litigation cases, from initial client consultation through trial and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw to support case strategies.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests with precision and clarity.
  • Develop case strategies by analyzing facts, evidence, and applicable laws across various practice areas including personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and more.
  • Negotiate settlements effectively to achieve favorable results for clients while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and advise on legal options.
  • Maintain meticulous case files and documentation in accordance with firm policies and legal standards.
