Job Description:
Western Nebraska Veterans Home is seeking an individual to work in beautiful long term care facility and maintain high standards of sanitation required in a healthcare environment.
Full-Time Shifts Available, Shifts are dependent on current vacancies
Set Schedule, Work Every Other Weekend, 8-Hours Shifts 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Wages: $19.892/hour (Base rate $16.892 + $3 differential for every hour worked)
Clean members' rooms, restrooms and facility offices to include walls, windows, and ceilings. Remove laundry from living areas; may assist with delivery of clean linen and personals to resident's rooms. Empty trash containers, carpet care including vacuuming, spot removal & shampooing and perform other floor cleaning duties, mop, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: No specific education, training, or experience is required for entry to this class.
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge and cleaning experience in commercial business, hospital, medical building or long-term care facility; Pre-employment background check and drug screening required. Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, furniture and floors using disinfectants and chemicals; wash walls, windows, and ceilings; sweep, mop, scrub, strip, and refinish, wax, and polish floor surfaces; empty containers, replace liners, remove trash from buildings; clean public areas to ensure high standards of sanitation and safety; remove and wash/launders soiled rags, mop heads, and cleaning items as needed.
Other: Must be at least 18 years of age; A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of facility standards of sanitation and cleaning procedures. Ability to: follow written oral instructions; operate and maintain cleaning equipment, and mix cleaning solutions in proper proportions. Ability to operate heavy commercial cleaning equipment and to move/lift up to 75 lbs., push/pull up to 50 lbs.
