Job description

East and West Ridge Animal Hospitals, two collaborative sister locations in Klamath Falls, Oregon, are searching for an experienced veterinarian to join our team as Co-Medical Director alongside Dr. Carolyn Whitaker. This is a great opportunity for both emerging leaders looking for professional development and experienced leaders looking for a new adventure!
Qualifications and experience: This is an excellent opportunity for doctors with 3+ years of clinical experience who are looking to take the next step in their career and have a devotion to mentorship and teaching. Extra consideration will be given to those with proven leadership skills, tenacity, and adaptability. Must be licensed (or willing to become licensed) in Oregon.
As a veterinarian or Co-Medical Director, you'll help Dr. Whitaker lead two companion animal hospitals, primarily focusing on team mentorship, culture, and retention. We're seeking an experienced doctor who will build upon our hospital's current strengths, while enhancing our services and fostering new business ideas. Small animal veterinarians who are confident in surgery and find fulfillment in serving as a mentor would be excellent additions to our team. We're also happy to support and build your personal professional interests (ultrasound, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, urgent care, whatever it may be!) Prior experience with exotics is a plus, but not required.
Scheduling:
As Co-Medical Director, you will spend time at both of our locations in Klamath Falls (6 miles between the two facilities). This is a full-time, Monday-Saturday role, preferably comprised of 4 ten-hour days, but we're open to discussing alternative options. There are no on-call or emergency after-hours responsibilities in this role. Part-time coverage may also be considered.
Benefits and perks:
  • Competitive Base Salary DOE
  • Exciting bonus program/relocation assistance
  • Medical Director stipend
  • Revenue incentives for clinic growth
  • Four-day work week
  • NO after-hours on-call / emergencies
  • Generous PTO
  • Medical, dental, and vision (with HSA option)
  • Annual CE allowance (with days to attend)
  • Paid parental leave/bonding time
  • Personal pet discounts
  • Paid license renewal fees
  • Paid membership dues
  • AVMA PLIT coverage
  • 401(k) options with matching
  • Thought-partnership with a Medical Advisory Board
  • Investment in your personal interests (ski pass, National Park pass, gym membership, etc.)
  • Plus, much more!

About us:
Our full-service hospitals provide a high level of medicine and gentle care to dogs, cats, pocket pets, and exotics. Our goal is-and always has been-to deliver exceptional care that promotes a lifetime of good health for our patients while also supporting the needs of the people who love them. With two sister locations in beautiful southern Oregon, our community has come to know us for exceptional care and a loving, kind, and respectful staff. We provide an extensive list of services and have 3 veterinarians and a talented support staff team that is well-utilized and eager to assist.
If you're dedicated to a career in veterinary medicine and eager to lead a collaborative, high-caliber team, we encourage you to APPLY TODAY!
