Job description

Join a Family-Owned Metal Finishing Company 

WEPCO is seeking an experienced dayshift Anodize Supervisor to join our Production Team. This position will oversee the daily operation of our Chromic and Sulfuric Anodize department at our busy aerospace and defense metal finishing facility.

The Anodize Supervisor is responsible for leading production personnel, meeting customer requirements, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This individual will serve as the department leader and work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Management teams to achieve company goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of Chromic and Sulfuric Anodize lines
  • Lead and develop Line Leaders, Plating Operators, and General Labor personnel
  • Schedule work and allocate labor resources to meet production commitments
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide coaching, feedback, and training
  • Coordinate operations with other departments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Ensure adherence to customer specifications, process requirements, and quality standards
  • Review travelers, work instructions, blueprints, and customer specifications
  • Perform visual inspection of processed parts and verify product conformity
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to maximize throughput
  • Work with Maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support company operating goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of metal finishing experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory or Line Leader experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience with Chromic and/or Sulfuric Anodize preferred
  • Aerospace or defense metal finishing experience preferred

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong leadership and employee development skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
  • Ability to use micrometers and inspection equipment to verify coating thickness
  • Understanding of production scheduling and workflow management
  • Experience with AMS, MIL, BAC, or customer-specific specifications preferred
  • Experience in a NADCAP-accredited environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, heat, and humidity
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
