Job description

WEPCO is seeking an energetic Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical background to join our maintenance team.

Position Goals:

This position will provide facility maintenance services including installation, troubleshoot and repair of current electrical systems. In addition, they will assist with mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing related tasks.

About WEPCO:

Westfield Electroplating Company (WEPCO), a growing aerospace company, was founded in 1946 and is located in the western part of Massachusetts in the city of Westfield. WEPCO is family owned and operated and currently employs 155 highly skilled platers, painters, and technicians. WEPCO is a stable non-union facility with diverse aerospace and defense finishing capabilities servicing military, government, aviation, medical and electronic industries. WEPCO has the honor of being the first company in the country to achieve the National Aerospace and Defense Contractor Accreditation Program (NADCAP) accreditation in chemical processing, a status they have proudly continuously held over the last decade.

Requirements :

  • 3-5 years maintenance experience
  • 4 years of Technical or trade school course work

Skills:

  • Must be able to prioritize problems and make decisions in high pressure situations
  • Strong communication skills experience is a must
  • Must have ability to work in a collaborative team environment with maintenance personnel, production personnel, management
  • Analyzes and resolves electrical problems
  • Run electrical power to rectifiers and other electrical equipment
  • Assist with mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and other tasks in the facility as needed
  • Knowledge of rectifiers is a plus but not required
  • Responsible for safe, efficient completion of the maintenance tasks
  • Must possess strong electrical (high/low voltage) knowledge, HVAC controls, building, and low pressure boilers

Pay Rate and Benefits
