Job description

Overview
FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a nationally recognized health care system located in central North Carolina. Comprised of four hospitals with more than 600 beds, the system also offers leading-edge heart care in the Reid Heart Center, the area's only dedicated heart and vascular center. Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required. 1 year Experience in Telemetry, Intermediate Care, OR, Cath Lab or other specialty area required. BCLS Required. ACLS required.
Will be working 72/hrs per pay period as a staff RN for 12 weeks. Benefit status is consistent with casual part time benefits.
Former FHC employees and current agency staff are also eligible to apply.
2Reid is a 12-bed intermediate care unit specializing in the care of patients with moderate to severe medical and cardiac diagnoses such as sepsis, acute respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, NSTEMI, atrial fibrillation/flutter and CHF. Nurses on this unit utilize a broad skill set, initiate and titrate drips that require cardiac monitoring and assist with bedside procedures such as transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions.
