We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IP Nurse to join our team at Little Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a 106-bed skilled nursing and psychiatric facility located in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. As a key member of our infection prevention team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our residents and staff.
About the Role:
As an IP Nurse, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating infection prevention and control programs to prevent and control the spread of infections. Your key responsibilities will include:
โข Infection Prevention and Control: Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control programs to prevent and control the spread of infections.
โข Surveillance and Monitoring: Conduct surveillance and monitoring of infections, including monitoring of antibiotic use, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
โข Education and Training: Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices, including proper hand hygiene, masking, and disinfection procedures.
โข Quality Improvement: Collaborate with the quality improvement team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
โข Compliance: Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Requirements:
Infection Preventionist: Proficiency in infection prevention and control principles and practices.
Licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
Experience: One year of experience in infection prevention and control or a related field.
