Job description

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring proper record maintenance including collecting allergies, contact information, and payment methods
  • Handle inbound calls concerning prescription inquiries and/or triage to the appropriate departments as needed
  • Conducting outbound calls such as welcome calls, refill scheduling calls and physician office follow up calls
  • Perform benefit investigations and coordination of benefits
  • Coordinating timely and accurate medication delivery with members and providers
  • Using operating systems and other tools to assist in managing medication adherence /reimbursement services
  • Directing all clinical inquiries and clinical concerns to a pharmacist
  • Act as a liaison with various channels of healthcare to provide timely access of medication to the patient
  • Maintain patient/member confidentiality and HIPPA compliance at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Georgia Registered Pharmacy Technician is required
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computation skills
  • Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service setting or minimum of 1 year in a specialty pharmacy setting

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit for a minimum of (7) hours
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20lbs
  • Ability to multitask
