Job description

SUMMARY:
We at ProCare Rx are looking for a passionate and experienced Wellness Coordinator to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be a motivated and detail-oriented individual, with a strong desire to promote health and wellness initiatives within our organization. The Wellness Coordinator will be responsible for developing and managing health and wellness programs and helping to facilitate employee engagement. The successful candidate should have a strong knowledge of health and wellness topics, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees and the ability to inspire participation and create trust with others. This position requires an understand of confidentiality and strict adherence to HIPAA. This position is part-time, M-F 5 hours per day (25 hours weekly) at $25 per hour.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to (for all company locations):
  • Coordinate initiatives that promote health and wellbeing, including wellness activities such as lunch and learn seminars, health screenings, blood drives, and weight loss challenges.
  • Encourage the adoption of healthy behaviors by promoting the use of the wellness platform and the onsite fitness center.
  • Drive employee engagement in wellness initiatives by motivating and encouraging staff to actively participate in the program.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure successful program implementation.
  • Research and determine emerging health and wellness resources and trends. Maintain awareness of ongoing national wellbeing initiatives and programs while building a network of professional contacts and assets.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and explore ideas and opportunities to enhance the program.
  • Analyze program metrics to drive enhancements. Monitor program development and advancement by tracking participation statistics and generating progress reports.
  • Develop resources and materials for health and wellness programs.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff regarding health and wellness topics.
  • Plan and coordinate health and wellness onsite and offsite events and activities.
  • Manage resources related to health and wellness programs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Experience in health, wellness, nutrition, and fitness with excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization, ability to organize and prioritize, ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Demonstrates a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation.
  • Has knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations for wellness programs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in health promotion, health education, or related field
  • At least 1 year experience coordinating and promoting a corporate wellness program activities.
  • Certified Health Coach, certified Fitness Coach a plus
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Corporate wellness program experience
  • Ability to manage health and wellness programs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of health and wellness topics
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Community event coordination; 5K run nature walk events.
  • Wellness fair coordination; biometric screens, vaccine clinic

  • First Aid certified
