Job description

The Warehouse Operations Coordinator supports day-to-day warehouse activities to ensure the accurate, safe, and timely movement of inventory. This role coordinates receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory control while working closely with warehouse staff, carriers, and internal teams to maintain efficient operations and service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by processing transactions in the warehouse management system and assisting with cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Schedule shipments and communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to support on-time deliveries.
  • Monitor order status and resolve operational issues related to inventory discrepancies, delayed shipments, or documentation errors.
  • Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, bills of lading, and other warehouse records as required.
  • Support workflow planning.
  • Promote compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies throughout warehouse operations.
  • Assist with reporting on key warehouse metrics such as inventory accuracy, order turnaround time, and shipment performance.
  • Train or support team members on warehouse procedures, system updates, and process improvements as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or inventory coordination roles.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control practices, and shipping documentation.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems, ERP platforms, or related inventory software and TMS systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email, and basic reporting tools.
