Job Summary

Catholic Charities seeks a Food Rescue Program Coordinator to support food access initiatives by coordinating food rescue and distribution operations, supervising staff and volunteers, and cultivating relationships with food donors and community partners. This role ensures the safe recovery, distribution, and utilization of donated food for individuals, families, and older adults experiencing food insecurity across Central Minnesota. The coordinator manages logistics, inventory, reporting, vehicles, and equipment while providing operational support and leadership. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, mission-driven, and skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with compassion and professionalism.

What you will do

  • Coordinate Food Rescue program operations and donor relationships.
  • Supervise Food Rescue Delivery Driver(s) and support volunteers.
  • Assist with food collection, transportation, storage, and distribution.
  • Maintain accurate program data, reports, and inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and program requirements.
  • Support Food Access programs, special events, and community food initiatives.
  • Assist with vehicle, equipment, and facility oversight.

What we're looking for (Required Qualifications)

Education:

Two (2) years post high school

Experience:

Two (2) years' experience, one year supervisory experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Clean driving record, pre-employment physical clearance and positive recommendation from assessor required due to physical lifting and exertion requirements of the job. Ability to successfully clear a pre-employment DOT physical assessment and to obtain a DOT health card. Renewal of the physical assessment and health card will be required prior to the noted expiration date on an ongoing basis. Food manager certified or ability to obtain within 6 months. Certification for forklift operation required, will provide training if necessary. Must be able to operate equipment such as large trucks and the Mobile Food Shelf bus, a forklift, pallet jack, snow blower, and floor scrubber
