River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Full Time Wellness Buyer!

Experience-based pay ranging from: $19.32 - $20.63 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 hours per week

Must have availability to work weekends and evenings. Candidates without availability to work weekends and evenings will not be considered.

Work for a community-owned grocery store in downtown Stillwater and help support a sustainable local food system. Share your valuable health and wellness knowledge with the Stillwater community as a Wellness Buyer! Wellness Buyers interact directly with customers, acting as guides to help answer questions and locate products. In this position you will maintain attractive and fully stocked shelves, place orders for retail product following established procedures, receive deliveries, ensure high standards of product quality and safety, and keep the store clean and organized. Joining River Market as a Wellness Buyer is a great way to use your knowledge to help others.

The most qualified candidates for this position will have experience placing orders for retail sale in product categories like vitamins and supplements, essential oils, body care, hair care, and skincare.

Union position

Reports to: Center Store Manager

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous customer service
  • Assist customers with product selection, requests, special orders and returns
  • Check incoming deliveries for invoice accuracy, product quality, damage and shortages
  • Sign, date and code invoices according to the SOPs for pricing support and bookkeeping purposes. Submit invoices promptly
  • Place orders to ensure supply of inventory is always adequate and meets volume needs
  • Obtain and submit credits from vendors in a timely manner
  • Participate in reviews of quarterly and seasonal movement reports. Adjust merchandising and purchasing as directed by manager
  • Coordinate with manager and support staff on potential new products
  • Assist in planning and maintain attractive, fully stocked, rotated, and faced sections, including promo areas
  • Stock, or identify stocking priorities, in accordance with procedures and SOPs

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience with ordering, stocking and receiving preferred
  • Prior retail customer service experience
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Able to multi-task with an attention to detail, accuracy
  • Perform repeated bending, standing and reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic including counting, addition and subtraction
  • Computer proficiency in: MS Office-Outlook, Excel, Word
