Job Description

The Shop Manager is responsible for the overall direction, supervision and functioning of the Oklahoma City shop. Including mechanical build and repairs, supervision of mechanics and shop safety.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and when necessary, may perform customer service functions or scheduled maintenance.
  • Supervises and when necessary, assists with administrative services related to automobile repairs; tasks may include preparing cost estimates for customers, notifying customers of preventive and scheduled maintenance, and making repairs within skill level.
  • Reconciles operating accounts and records including reconciling sales with cash and receipts.
  • Drafts and maintains operating reports as requested by the division manager.
  • Monitors inventory, and orders supplies and tools for the shop.
  • Schedules and arranges necessary maintenance for the shop.
  • Ensures that the shop is neat, clean, and safe.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Keep open lines of communication with all parties.
  • Oversee All Licenses/Permits with Asset Manager
  • Design and Update Equipment and Spray Systems to Specifications
  • Must be able to perform all aspects of fleet repairs to include but not limited to mechanical, hydraulic, welding, fabrication and minor body repairs.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have a valid drivers license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
  • Previous Mechanic experience of 5+ years.
  • CDL is highly preferred.
  • Excellent managerial and leadership skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare operating reports and to reconcile sales records.
  • Extensive knowledge of automobile repair with ability to read and interpret technical manuals.

Physical Requirements:

  • Exposure to gasoline vapors and other automobile fluids.
  • Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stretch to perform automobile inspection and repair.
  • Must be able to handle tools required to perform automobile repair.
  • May be required to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
