Job description

Manage requests for quotes (RFQs) from initial customer contact to project completion, including creation of bids, production job packets and coordination of outside services.
Monitor daily progress and update operations and schedules in ERP system and customer online portals to maintain accurate milestones and deliverables.
Direct non-standard customer projects from initial inquiry to final delivery, overseeing fixture design and external service procurement.
Collaborate with the estimating team to refine quoting methodologies, specifically for advanced processes like PTAW and SAW, to secure new business ventures.
Manage welding procedure qualifications from start to finish (including reviewing requirements, developing quotes, designing qualification plans and monitoring welding). This will be both for new work and to improve old practices as required by management.
Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing high-level technical support across all manufacturing departments.
Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for enhancing production throughput and overall efficiency.
Develop, qualify and maintain welder qualifications and continuity including monitoring welding, witnessing testing, developing procedures for qualification, improving testing and training practices to ensure all welders are at the highest level possible.
Develop and qualify specialized procedures for new projects, including pipe cladding, SAW cladding, and hard facing.
Lead R&D initiatives for both local and group-level product development efforts.
