Structural Welder
Project: EPT4 Border Wall Project โ€“ Antelope Wells, New Mexico
Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based

Position Overview

Durus Industrial is seeking experienced structural welders to support execution of the EPT4 Border Wall Project located in Antelope Wells, New Mexico.

This position supports heavy civil and border infrastructure construction activities involving structural steel installation, welding, repair, reinforcement, and field modifications in remote construction environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform structural welding in accordance with project specifications and applicable welding procedures
  • Execute field welding, fabrication, fit-up, and structural repairs
  • Weld structural steel components, embeds, reinforcing assemblies, brackets, and miscellaneous metals
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication details
  • Operate welding machines, torches, grinders, and related fabrication equipment
  • Maintain weld quality and production schedules while adhering to strict quality and safety standards
  • Assist with rigging, positioning, and alignment of structural components as required
  • Support daily coordination with field supervision and project management teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of structural welding experience preferred
  • Experience working on heavy civil, industrial, mining, or infrastructure projects
  • Proficient in SMAW welding processes using E7018 electrodes
  • Ability to pass project-required welding tests and qualifications
  • Ability to read welding symbols, structural drawings, and fabrication details
  • Familiarity with structural steel erection and field fit-up practices
  • Strong understanding of construction safety requirements and jobsite expectations
  • Ability to work in remote outdoor environments under physically demanding conditions
