Location: Decatur, AL | Employment: Temp-to-Hire | Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)

A day in the shop

The floor hums to life as you clock in. Material moves, torches warm, and blueprints land on the bench. Two essential roles keep production flowing—each with a clear purpose and a path forward.

Role 1: Welder Helper

You’re the momentum behind the welders—staging parts, keeping the area orderly, and making sure every piece is where it needs to be.

  • Support welders with material handling and basic assembly.
  • Lift, carry, and position parts safely for weld operations.
  • Follow written work instructions and shop safety practices.
  • Keep tools and the work zone clean and organized.
  • Bonus: Comfort with reading blueprints.

Pay: $18.00–$19.00/hr

What you bring:

  • 1+ year in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Steel-toe boots.
  • Must communicate effectively in English.
Role 2: Fitter–Welder (MIG)

You own the fit-up—translating blueprints and weld symbols into precise assemblies, then laying down clean, consistent MIG welds.

  • Interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
  • Fit, align, clamp, tack, and weld to specification.
  • Perform MIG welding for production-quality joints.
  • Check work using visual and dimensional inspection tools.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Complete production paperwork and uphold quality standards.

Pay: $25.00/hr

What you bring:

  • 2+ years fitter/tack welding experience.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding.
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Steel-toe boots.

  • Must pass an internal welding test.
