A Brief Overview
Escrow/Insurance Specialists service the bank's loan escrow and insurance tracking portfolio while following established lending policies and procedures. The Escrow/Insurance Specialist II role expands to also include all aspects of escrow processing and account reconciliation. Escrow/Insurance Specialists are multi-functional, customer-oriented individuals who rely on instructions and pre-established procedures to perform the functions of this job. They work under the immediate supervision of an Escrow/Insurance Supervisor. The Escrow/Insurance Specialist II has mastered the tasks on Level I and requires moderate supervision. They assist the Escrow/Insurance Lead and Escrow/Insurance Supervisor with reviewing reports.
What you will do
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of escrow records on all loan types on the Bank's core system.
  • Review data input for accuracy and completeness on escrow records.
  • Process additional payments to escrow including but not limited to tax/insurance refunds and shortage payments.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts in a timely manner.
  • Handle force placed insurance process on loans that have cancelled, expired, or no insurance.
  • Handle delinquent tax procedures with loan officers, special assets, consumer collection, credit, and other departments.
  • Process escrow distributions and execute annual escrow analysis.
  • Track tax and insurance status on escrow and non-escrow loans that are secured by real estate.
  • Monitor Insurance/Loss Settlement tickets on Znuny.
  • Work with customer and their contractors on their insurance claims.
  • Answer incoming customer calls with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Upload loan documentation to electronic file.
  • Adhere to Bank policies and procedures as well as industry regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Escrow/Insurance Supervisor, Loan Servicing Manager, or Loan Operations Manager.
  • Assist other co-workers and willingly cross-train in other areas as needed.

Other Qualifications/Requirements
  • Associate's Degree and minimum 3 years retail banking preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years loan servicing preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
