About the Candidate / Role

Tradewind Aviation is looking for a Scheduler to be based in our Oxford , CT location. The Scheduler's primary responsibility is to maximize the efficient utilization of Tradewind Aviation's entire fleet of aircraft. The Scheduler supports the Sales team by checking availability of crew and aircraft to meet demand. Once trips are booked, the Scheduler is responsible for continuously ensuring the most efficient use of resources to deliver top-level service to Tradewind Aviation's customers in a rapidly changing environment. Must be flexible with work schedule and able to work weekends and holidays. 


Responsibilities

Maintain a culture of total client service, focused on anticipating client needs and exceeding their expectations.

Identify safety hazards and report to a supervisor or through the Safety Management System (SMS).

Monitor current flights and ensure proceeding trips are not delayed.

Handle schedule interruptions and notify applicable departments.

Schedule new trips.

Maximize the efficiency of crew and aircraft schedules.

Ensure compliance with FARs and company policies.

Provide trip availability to Sales.

Coordinate trip changes with Client Services.

Arrange schedule to fulfill maintenance needs.

Assist with crew training.

Build new scheduled service flights as necessary.

Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications

6+ months aviation experience.

Experience in aviation scheduling software preferred.

FAA dispatch license preferred.

Problem solving skills.

Ability to handle frequent changes.

Capability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.

Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.


Physical Requirements

  • Strength to lift 15lbs
  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to hear and speak clearly on the phone and in meetings (in person or virtual)
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment.

Working conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, use of computers and office equipment
  • Indoor Office setting with standard lighting and temperature
