Now Hiring: Traveling Chef
QSL Management | Senior Living Communities | Full-Time | Multi-Community Support |

Are you a culinary professional with leadership experience and a passion for service? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy supporting multiple teams?

QSL Management is looking for a Traveling Chef to oversee dining operations across our senior living communities

Why QSL Management?

At QSL Management, we are driven by core values that define our culture: Excellence, Compassion, Respect, Leadership, Integrity, Safety, and Joy.
We are proud to be recognized as a "Great Place to Work" in 2025, and we're growing fast across the region.

As our Traveling Chef, you'll experience the best of both worlds: a strong support network and the flexibility to lead dining operations across several unique communities-bringing consistency, inspiration, and excellence wherever you go.

Your Impact

In this mobile leadership role, you will travel between QSLM communities, providing on-site leadership, operational support, and team development in our dining departments. Your efforts will ensure residents receive an exceptional dining experience, no matter which QSLM location you're supporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support daily dining operations across multiple senior living communities.
  • Travel regularly to QSLM communities throughout the Southeastern United States to provide hands-on leadership and guidance.
  • Lead menu execution, food preparation, and service standards to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Provide training and mentorship to culinary teams at various locations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal food safety regulations at each site.
  • Step in to stabilize operations, cover leadership vacancies, and assist with new community openings or transitions.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, service excellence, and teamwork.
  • Coordinate with regional and corporate leadership to implement best practices and company standards.

Requirements

 Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead cook, kitchen manager, or similar culinary leadership role.
  • 2+ years managing kitchen/dining operations, ideally in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality.
  • ServSafe Certification required. Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
  • Associate's degree or vocational certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field. Equivalent senior living dining experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and menu development.
  • Proficiency with kitchen systems and POS software (preferred).
  • Must be able and willing to travel frequently within the region, sometimes on short notice.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and people leadership skills.
  • A servant's heart and a deep respect for seniors and those who serve them.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Travel reimbursement and mileage/vehicle stipend (where applicable)
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement
  • The reward of making a meaningful impact across multiple communities

Bring your talent where it's needed most. At QSL Management, you won't just lead kitchens-you'll inspire people, uplift teams, and serve with heart. Apply today to become our Traveling ChefÂ
