Special Procedures Technologist

Job Title: Special Procedures Technologist

Profession: Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty: Interventional Radiology

Hours per Shift: 10

Experience: Minimum of 1 year

License: ARRT

Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Must-Have:

  • Experience in structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Mitraclip, and Watchman.
  • Proficiency with various imaging systems and cardiac procedures.

Description:

The Special Procedures Technologist supports interventional radiology, vascular, and neuro specialties. Will be required to participate in weeknight and weekend call schedules. The daily caseload per department averages 15 procedures. The technologist will be responsible for charting and documentation using electronic systems. First-time travelers are accepted. Floating within the cath lab unit to meet facility needs is required. Must adhere to call requirements of a minimum of 8 call days within a 4-week period, and 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks. Weekend on-call is required for the duration of the assignment. Consistent scheduling attempts will be made, although not guaranteed. Candidates must have experience with the following equipment: Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Boston IVUS IFR/FFR, and others. Daily patient interactions will involve a diverse age group from adolescents to geriatrics. Support from interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and others, is available. Candidates should be prepared for various special procedures relevant to interventional and structural heart services. Compliance with required certifications is necessary. References from recent positions must be provided, with specific manager references included. No employment gaps greater than 30 days are allowed in the required work history.
